The medieval church
As I have reading studying the medieval period of world history, I have noticed how relevant the church was to the communities that surrounded it. The church bells rang throughout the day, calling people to sing and rejoice throughout the day as they worked and ate and lived. The holy days of the church were celebrated by the whole community with a true holiday filled with music and feasting and celebration. You could not help but pay attention to the local church establishment, it was the center of your community, the life-giving body that sent its breath into every aspect of life.
